VIGAN Engineering S.A. (Belgium) acquires the SIMPORTER technology and confirms the immediate sale of a 1200 tph Unloader in Vietnam Nivelles (Belgium), October 1st , 2007 In line with its long term strategy of serving its customers, VIGAN Engineering S.A. is completing its well-known range of pneumatic unloaders with the mechanical SIMPORTER unloaders. At the same time, VIGAN is taking over all the other activities of the English company “AS-C Projects Limited” (previously Simon-Carves). VIGAN is one of the world leaders in pneumatic unloaders for agribulk, with grain pumps and gantry mounted unloaders, with operational capacities from 100 up to 600 tph. The mechanical SIMPORTER twin-belt unloaders offer solutions from 600 up to 1500 tph. Other activities of AS-C Projects Ltd are specialised conveying techniques (SIMLOFTERS, SIMVEYORS, U-Con belts) and engineering services with in-depth know-how in bulk terminals design. With a proven power consumption of 0.3 kWh/tonne, this SIMPORTER twin-belt technology has the lowest energy cost per unloaded tonne amongst all existing Continuous Ship Unloaders. The SIMPORTER can handle all agribulk and similar bulk cargoes. It will obviously be mostly suitable for large vessels and high annual volumes. All SIMPORTERS sold during the latest 30 years are still in operation as reliable references in Europe, Middle-East and Asia.
