VESSELS TO SHORE
Tower type VIGAN equipment are particularly well suited for the unloading of coastal vessels and/or barges with a width (beam) less than about 15 – 20 meters.
A boom larger than 17-18 meters is usually sufficient for reaching most of the hold opening area and in order to ensure efficient unloading operations.
Onto trucks & railway cars
Most frequently those equipment are on wheels and towable (self propelled as an option) to allow an easy displacement along the ship but can be also on rails.
Into silos & warehouses
In this case, and in general the vessel will move during the unloading operations and the unloading tower is installed onto a stationary gantry
