Barge unloader

The pneumatic barge unloaders are tailor-made, based upon customer’s needs and requests to produce the most efficient and reliable solution possible. Each machine is unique.
The barge unloader unit is a cost-effective equipment adapted for barge unloading. It is a versatile solution that can be easily customized for any specific operation needed.
It consists mainly of an unloading tower with the filter unit, an airlock underneath, a separate machine room - which contains the mechanical elements - and a boom made of a tubular lattice supporting the suction pipes.
The machine is designed with all possible movements for efficient operation and hatch reach.
Key features

Fully customized according to customer request and site specifications
Design can be adapted to the space available by separating the machine room, integrating the equipment into a building, specific insulation for noise...

Simple and heavy-duty construction
- High wear resistant alloys for airlock and unloading piping systems
- Design with low turbulence and pressure drop thanks to unique elbow
- Made for ten million tons of suction in standard conditions

Low dust emission
- Self-cleaning filter by air compressor with jet pulse system from 68 to 166m² without moving parts
- Designed for environment friendly operation, including urban areas

Low energy consumption
- Direct drive turbo-blower with inverter energy regulation
- Real multi-stage turbo-blower with aeronautic design for best performances
- VIGAN airlock for sealed product exhaust
- Optimized unloading piping for minimal pressure losses

Hydraulic boom
- Safe, reliable and maintenance-free hydraulic system to lift in and out the boom from the vessel
- The boom can be used to lift a skid-steer loader

Safe by design
- VIGAN includes an ATEX study, a risk analysis and a CE file in its design
- Safe right from the design without the use of complex electronic systems
- Designed based on the site conditions (wind, earthquake...)

Easy to operate
The barge unloader is simple and easy to operate.
Operation can be completely managed by only one operator, even during cleaning operations.
